A huge thank you for enquiring about how Melbourne Video Conversion Services (MVCS) can help Preserve, Convert and Archive you precious memories. Please ensure you read the terms and conditions carefully before you agree to the service – we just want you to have the best experience possible.

By placing an order, we will assume you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to our terms and conditions.

Sending and return of original media

MVCS are not liable for any damage or loss incurred whilst your media is in the post. Accountability will be held with the couriers; we do advise you to package your tapes in a sensible manner to ensure safe transit via Registered/Express mail with Aus Post.

Keeping your media safe

In the extremely unlikely event of us causing damage or loss to any of your material, we will compensate you up to the purchase value of the media. We cannot accept responsibility for any media that arrives damaged or is in an unsuitable or unusable condition upon arrival.

If we cannot convert your media due to the condition of the tape, we able to repair damaged media tapes in most case. Any media that are not converted will not incur a fee, however delivery charges may still apply. On extremely rare cases media can perish during the conversion process, we do everything to try and prevent this and make sure your tapes are safe.

If this were to happen, we cannot accept responsibility. Factors such as the age of the tapes and the way they have been stored are usually the cause. A refund may be given at our discretion in the unlikely event of this happening.

Once your media has been converted, back-ups are kept and accessible for 14 Days – Backups will be kept on our hard drives for as long as possible as a precaution.

Compatibility

It is the customers responsibility to ensure that they have the necessary equipment to play the digital media supplied by us. We use Google Drive or WeTransfer, USB 2.0, USB 3.0, and USB 3.1 as storage devices, which are compatible with most devices. We may provide other formatted files on request of the customer – they will need to specify any requirements upfront.

All specific client instructions must be clearly written and specified on the job form or via email prior to any work commencement.

MVCS supplies all media storage in the form of usb’s or Hard Drives to guarantee successful compatibility and playback. All storage devices are thoroughly and extensively assessed prior to delivery and for this reason we do not accept storage devices from clients.

Copyright and prohibited content

By accepting our terms, you are stating that you own or have permission to copy the material provided and indemnify MVCS against any action including copyright infringement. If the content is illegal in nature, we reserve the right to refuse to continue and no refund will be offered.

Refunds and returns

If there is an issue with your order, you must contact us within 7 days of job collection regarding the issue(s). We are committed to provide the best customer service possible and will try our best to resolve the issue(s). If we cannot resolve the issue(s), we may offer a refund that equals the value of the service that has not been performed correctly. We reserve the right to refuse refunds and reimbursement of postage.

Methods of payment

We accept payment of Credit/Debit card and EFT bank transfer. All online prices, quotes are in Australian Dollars (AU$) unless stated otherwise.

Unless via prior arrangement, all work is paid upon collection and within 7 days of notification by us. All overdue payments of completed work will incur overdue payment fees and or interest.

In some larger projects, a deposit may be required to be prepaid prior to job commencement.

Clients who wish for a quote to be provided, prior to commencement of work in order to confirm tape durations and content material verification, a fee of $5.00 per tape will apply. This fee will be deducted from the final invoice cost.
